617 Panoramic P&S Camera

New 6x17 panoramic camera is an improvement both functionally and esthetically to previous models. It takes 4 panoramic 55x170mm photos.

Models to fit Schneider 90mm f8 Super Angulon and Rodenstock 90mm f6.8 Grandagon N are fully tested. These lenses are performing well and are well suited for this camera.
Schneider 90mm f8 Super Angulon MC has slightly different focal flange distance and spacer will be included if you need to mount this lens. Please advise which shutter size and version of the lens you have and we can adjust the camera to properly fit your lens.

It's also possible to use Rodenstock 90mm f4.5 Grandagon (N) or Schneider Kreuznach 90mm f5.6 Super Angulon (XL) with larger M77 helicoid. Any number of other lenses with adequate image circle to cover 6x17 format can be adapted to the camera.

Full set includes everything required apart from the pictured lens, cold shoe mounted accessories and helicoid. Sometimes we have a serviced lens that can be include. Please contact to inquire.
Included:
1. 617 body/back
2. Cone with M65 mount for M65 helicoid
3. Lens board for the lens to fit M65 helicoid
4. Zone focusing scale
5. Simple 3d printed viewfinder
-there is a small stock of helicoids on hand. Please inquire if you would like helicoid included for a nominal fee and calibrated with the camera.

Just like before, the camera is based around film flatness. It has separate cones that can be matched to the lens as required.

Design was made to be exceptionably simple and affordable while enabling film flatness and tolerances of similar commercially available cameras.

They're printed from ABS Glass Fiber as it's extremely stable material with superior vibration resistance of composite materials. Grip has integrated cable release holder. There is standard 1/4" tripod mount on the bottom.

Another benefit of the design is that it was made to be scalable to 6x6, 6x9 and 6x12 sizes.

Film can be rewound back if the film wasn't wound to the last shot on 6x17 and lens can be moved to the 4x5 P&S or to LF camera.

3 cold shoes mounted on top of the camera. They can be easily replaced or exchanged for other customized accessory.

Both film spools are supported on both ends making sure that film tracks properly across the path. Resulting parallelism of the whole system (body, cone, helicoid and lens board) is within plus minus 0.07mm (3 thousands of an inch) in uncalibrated state. This is already surpassing ANSI standard for film holder flatness on similar formats. This value can be further calibrated to even tighter specification if requested.

For comparison, Hasselblad medium format cameras on much smaller format have plus minus 0.03mm on body, back and even more range on the focusing screen.

For this camera at its optimal shooting apertures of f22 and f16, these specifications exceed the requirements by a high margin. At larger apertures it will also exceed the requirements.

Specifications:
Width: 252mm (9.92inch)
Height: 111mm (4.37inch)
Depth - body only without protrusion: 34.75mm (1.37inch)
Back door hardware ads 8mm to the depth
Depth to the front of the lens board with Schneider 90mm SA: 100.75mm (4inch)
Weight with 90mm SA cone, helicoid and lens board: 425 grams
