Made on 5 mil clear film that is not visible when looking through viewfinder, even when stacked.
Visually superior to thicker mask materials. All commonly used ratios are covered. Clear masks used to create any custom marks.
Masks are packed in thick card stock flat box. Box keeps masks safe and is easy to carry.
5 customizable masks can be used to draw any overlay needed.
If you have a photo project or specific need where your subject/object needs to fit in desired ratio of final output these masks are invaluable.
Fine tip marker and a ruler is all you need to make a mask for your specific purpose.
Type 2 recommended unless it's necessary to change masks several times during session.
2 types available (type 1 and type 2 35mm mask set for use with 35mm adapter also available):
Type 1, Above focusing screen - used similar to Hasselblad masks on top of the screen
- compatible with all bodies on top of the screen
- sharp lines when viewed
- features cutouts to rotate screen 90 degrees
Type 2, Above and Bellow focusing screen - features special cutout to fit underneath the screen
- compatible with all bodies bellow screen (except 500C - screen not user removable - use above screen)
- lines are softer when viewing - less intrusive if you prefer to leave screen in place
- cutouts are smaller and not visible in almost any situation. Even when used with 500C cutout visibility is almost nonexistent.
- enables combining two masks bellow screen
- softer lines make use easier when using with screens with grid
- better positioning accuracy
- can be used used above screen with slight bulging - screen needs to fit above focusing screen retaining clips

Hasselblad mechanics are separate from shell. Mask fits through opening in the shell.
This might cause slight tolerances in opening in shell and screen mount alignment.
In some cases masks might have to be trimmed by a fraction of a millimeter.
